This tapesry collection is inspired by a beautiful silk embroidered wall hanging by William Morris about 1880 and is now at the Victoria & Albert Museum. This needlepoint set remains faithful to the original soft colourings. The background is stitch in a combination of two blues in crewel wool, the design in tapestry wool. The rug and bell pull are worked in cross stitch.
