BIG KNIT WEEKEND May 10th & 11th

Thanks to everyone who made our last BIG KNIT WEEKEND a great success on 26th and 27th April, we now have another special weekend where we need your help again to give this cause a big boost again!

Come a see us at Bakewell where we are inviting 'Knitters' to come in a knit a row or more on our baby blanket or even sit down and knit little garments and have a natter!

The Big Knit has snowballed with customers and staff knitting so many garments enabling us to supply different hospitals. We hope to attract more knitters from the talk with Dean Goodings on Radio Derby on the 22nd April and also the pieces in various newspapers - see our latest news!

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who has helped and please can we have loads more.....!

 PLEASE HELP

The staff & customers of Wye Needlecraft of Bakewell are busy knitting for premature babies in neo-natal and SCBU units at;

 CHESTERFIELD, SHEFFIELD, DERBY & NOTTINGHAM

We would appreciate any help you can offer by:

1. Knitting garments yourself (ask about patterns or some patterns here for you to download)
2. Donating oddments of baby yarn (DK & 4ply no amount too small), also buttons (half inch flat are best)
3. Donating cash to buy a ball of yarn for others to knit the clothes with.

All these units need as many garments as we can make and are very grateful for them. They all have different requirements so please ask for a list if you plan to knit for these tiny, vulnerable babies.
