Is a registered equine charity that is dedicated to helping horses, ponies and donkeys in need or distress.
Founded in 1952, when many of the country’s working equines were being made redundant in favour of mechanisation, the Society was founded by a dedicated group of friends, determined to look after and retire working horses. Today the Society’s work has expanded to make it one of the country’s largest equine homes. HorseWorld currently looks after over 400 horses, ponies and donkeys.
HorseWorld now rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes a whole cross section of equines. Many of our residents have been saved from appalling conditions of neglect and abandonment, others have come to us when their owners, for a multitude of reasons, have been unable to look after them. In such circumstances the Society is often the only alternative to destruction and as such, our work is as important now as ever. HorseWorld is entirely dependent upon the generosity of the public, their future is only guaranteed by your support.

Visit the Horse world website at www.horseworld.org.uk where you can find details of how you can sponsor a horse and many other ways to help. It is also a great day out to visit all the animals at Horseworld. Wye Needlecraft have sponsored ‘Brutus’ a beautiful gentle giant Shire Horse. He was born in 1992 and arrived at HorseWorld in April 2004. He was originally rescued from a market where it was feared he would go for meat, and he is settling in very well at his new home. He is a truly gentle horse and loves being with the miniature ponies at HorseWorld. There are many more animals to sponsor – check their website for details.
Once again, many thanks for any support you can give.
