About Us….

Wye Needlecraft Ltd is a multi-award winning shop based in Bakewell in the heart of the Peak District in Derbyshire. The shop has been open since 1992 and we took over in October 2002.

We have a dedicated team of eleven who are all mad stitchers or knitters! We have an abundance of needlecraft knowledge between us so ask if you need advice. Ann and Carol are online 5 days a week (Mon-Fri) to take your orders online and answer your emails.

We have two floors filled to the brim of all the needlecraft products you can think of, and what we don’t have in stock we order for you and post it to you. We have many Stitching Groups from all over the country who visit us for days out to ‘stock up’ and we also supply many teachers for their workshops or schools. We have many overseas customers and also teachers and retailers overseas too that we supply.

Our walls are packed with hundreds of stitch models so many designs can be seen before you buy.

We stock the popular to the something different so there is something for everyone and for every pocket. We always welcome new designers and try to help and give advice if they need it. We have helped a few brand new designers at Wye and now they are successfully selling in our shop and many others.

We have many more innovative and exciting plans to develop our business, some of which YOU can become involved in – all will be revealed soon! Our ambition is to keep growing our company while staying true to our customers who are the important ‘bit’ that make us who we are!

Wye Online!

Complimentary to our shop in Bakewell is our brand new website launched in November 2007, just in time for your Christmas shopping! This is very exciting for us and we hope for you too. We still have 1000s of products to list on our website but our aim is for you to find everything you need under on roof and save you time searching and searching. You will be able to see each item close up in clear pictures with a clear description for each one too.
