A painter of landscapes and figures in landscapes in traditional style, Jean Frederic Bazille (1841 - 1870) was born in Montpelier, France to a wealthy family whose members were patrons of the arts and especially supportive of Impressionist painters.  As a young artist in mid-century Paris, Bazille began associating with revolutionary painters, especially Impressionists, but he retained his own style, which was more moderate.

The design is stitched on 18ct aida fabric allowing for very good detail. The design is suitable for all levels of experience as only full stitches are used.

This collection is stunningly life like and easy to stitch. Kit contains fabric, pre-sorted threads on a thread organiser, needle and instructions.
