In warm shades of gold and copper, this mixed stitch sampler was inspired by Naomi's (the designer's daughter) favourite flowers and her love of honey.

The sampler is topped by a large Hardanger sunflower worked in rich overdyed floss. Bands of pulled and drawn thread embroidery, speciality stitches,  silk ribbon embroidery, bargello, cross stitch, and blackwork continue the sunflower and bumble bee themes. Metallic threads and beads add sparkle, and tiny brass bees complete the design.
