Silver stars begin to twinkle in the twilight above meadows of secret silken blossoms. Hidden beneath the ground, lies Merlin's crystal encrusted cave. Stalactites and stalagmites shimmer in the darkness, and the sorcerer's pet dragon rests on a pile of glittering jewels and sumptuous silks, guarding the treasure at its centre, the heart of the magic.

Cross Stitch, Bargello, Hardanger, Pulled and Drawn Thread Work and Silk Ribbon Embroidery make up this design, which is worked in Stranded Cottons, and a variegated fine cotton from Oliver Twists. Silk Serica and metallic threads from Krienik add sparkle to the design, which is further enhanced by Mill Hill beads and a beautiful Glass Treasure.
