Jacob Eichholtz (1776–1842) was an American painter, known primarily for his portraits. Born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, he spent most of his professional life in Philidelphia. Eichholtz was trained as a coppersmith, but turned to painting as soon as practical. He is known to have painted over 800 portraits over the course of 35 years.

Two little girls in matching white dresses and matching flowered bonnets pose for their portrait with their arms about each other. They are framed by a column, a deep red velvet curtain, and behind them a wall and lowering sky. (1820)
