This is a reproduction of a sampler that was probably worked originally in Scotland. The verse:

to be chofen (chosen) than great
riches and a loving Father
than silver and gold
Origin and date: 1789, probably Scottish
Suitable for all skill levels.
Linen count and finished size: 30-count, 9"x14". Kit contains fabric, silk or cotton thread, needle and instructions.
