Carl Larsson (May 28, 1853–January 22, 1919) was a Swedish painter and interior designer, representative of the Arts and Crafts Movement.
Lisbeth was one of his eight children born in 1891. She sits on a built-in red and green bench reading a book which is lying on a table before her. She is wearing a brown-and-white checked dress, a red-striped apron, and black shoes and stockings. A spectacular Christmas cactus in bloom sits in the center of the glossy table. Though a doorway coats and hats can be seen, hanging on pegs along a staircase. (1904)
