London - XLS4
This is one of a range of detailed and lively London Scenes cross stitch kits adapted from the paintings of Michael Coulter for the Bothy Threads collection.
Michael Coulter’s work has a distinctive style influenced by his training in illustration and printmaking. Using his own techniques in handling design, Michael has developed a light-hearted look at life and the countryside, that pleases and delights. In 1987 he took early retirement from teaching at Woolverstone Hall School to take up painting full time. Over the years he has had over 20 one-man exhibitions, mostly in Suffolk and Dorset, but also London and Washington DC. The many Galleries that have shown his work include the Royal Academy Summer Exhibitions between 1983 and ’86; the Peter Hedley Gallery, Wareham and the John Russell Gallery, Ipswich. Michael & Linda run a small greeting cards business in Suffolk, publishing a range of greeting cards from his watercolours.
