James Edward Hervey MacDonald (May 12, 1873, Durham, England – November 26, 1932) was a member of the famous Group of Seven Canadian artists.
This piece depicts a setting sun casts rosy tints on Cathedral Peak in Yoho Park in British Columbia. Gemlike Lake O'Hara is nestled in the glacier-carved valley below. (Group of Seven, 1927)
