Celtic Eagle Tapestry
An historical design from the Animal Fayre Collection.
Like the Celtic Peacocks and the Celtic Bird, the Eagle was inspired by the Book of Kells. The Eagle represents the Evangelist, St John and is a theme found throughout the manuscripts. It is a simple design sewn in rich wools on a dark red background. This design can be sewn either as a circle or as a square; the charts for both are in the kit.
The tapestry looks stunning as a footstool cover, framed or as a cushion.
11" diameter or 11" x 11" (27.5cm x 27.5cm)
The design is worked in Victorian cross stitch and is suitable for the adventurous beginner or the experienced needle-worker.
Kit contains 10hpi Interlock canvas (printed or blank), Anchor tapestry wool, fully illustrated instructions (and colour and symbol chart for the unprinted kit), and a needle.
