Beach Café by Wendy Brown
“Beach Cafe” is a cross stitch based on a watercolour painting by artist, Wendy Brown. It was inspired by an area called “Hengistbury Head” in Dorset which is very near to where Wendy lives on the south coast of England. A typically British seaside scene, it features a little cafe, plenty of colourful beach huts, a warm, sandy beach, and little boats - along with her trademark humorous seagulls!
Wendy was born and brought up in London, but has always been inspired by the natural British countryside and coast. She loves to paint in a quirky and happy style where every object has an organic life of its own. Hopefully the details in this cross stitch will make you smile as you create it!
